Council

THAT the agenda of the Regular Council meeting of September 12, 2018, be approved as presented.

THAT the following minutes of Council meetings be confirmed and adopted as circulated: Regular Council - June 27, 2018 Committee of the Whole - June 27, 2018

THAT the recommendations contained within Committee of the Whole Report related to the Recreation and Community Services Section be approved.

THAT the recommendations contained within Committee of the Whole Report related to the Planning and Development Services Section be approved.

THAT the recommendations contained within Committee of the Whole Report related to the Transportation and Environmental Services Section be approved.

THAT the recommendations contained within Committee of the Whole Report related to the Finance and Corporate Services Section be approved.

THAT pursuant to section 259 (1) (d) the office of a member of council of a municipality becomes vacant if the member resigns from his or her office; and THAT pursuant to section 260 (1) of the Municipal Act, 2001, as amended, written notice of the resignation of Mayor Gerry Marshall has been filed with the Clerk; AND THAT pursuant to section 263 (5) the municipality is not required to fill the vacancy within 90 days of voting day of a regular election; FINALLY THAT Council hereby declares the Mayor seat vacant; and FURTHER THAT the Mayor seat remain vacant for the remainder of the 2014 – 2018 term of Council.

THAT staff be directed to proceed with the submission of the Ontario Trillium Foundation grant application; AND THAT the Mayor and Clerk are authorized to enter into a Collaborative Agreement with the County of Simcoe.

THAT the Council of the Town of Penetanguishene introduce the following by-laws; 2018-62, 2018-63, 2018-64, 2018-65 and 2018-66 AND THAT by-laws be read a first time and deemed to be read a second and third time and

THAT confirmation by-law 2018-67, be signed and sealed by the Deputy Mayor and Clerk.
