THAT the agenda of the Regular Council meeting of January 9, 2019, be approved as presented.

THAT the Town of Penetanguishene notify the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) of the decision to “opt in” to permit the retail sale of cannabis within the municipality in accordance with Section 41 of the Cannabis Statute Law Amendment Act; AND THAT the Council of the Town of Penetanguishene does not adopt a Policy Statement respecting applications for a Cannabis Retail Premises licence from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO); AND FINALLY THAT Council directs staff to report back to Committee with options for smoking/vaping municipal bylaws beyond the Smoke Free Ontario Act.

THAT the following minutes of Council meetings be confirmed and adopted as circulated: Special Inaugural Meeting of Council - December 5, 2018 Special Council Meeting - December 12, 2018 Council Meeting - December 12, 2018 Committee Meeting - December 12, 2018 Special Council Meeting - December 19, 2018

THAT the recommendations contained within Committee of the Whole Report related to the Planning and Development Services Section be approved.

THAT the recommendations contained within Committee of the Whole Report related to the Transportation and Environmental Services Section be approved.

THAT the recommendations contained within Committee of the Whole Report related to the Finance and Corporate Services Section be approved.

THAT the Council of the Town of Penetanguishene introduce the following by-laws; 2019-01, 2019-02 and 2019-03 AND THAT by-laws be read a first time and deemed to be read a second and third time and

THAT confirmation by-law 2019-04, be signed and sealed by the Mayor and Clerk.
