WHEREAS throughout our community, museums, art galleries, and heritage sites reflect our local history and culture and contribute to our development WHEREAS this month provides an opportunity to increase awareness of our community’s museums and celebrate the contributions these institutions make to quality of life, education, and economic development, and WHEREAS museums, galleries, and heritage sites welcome visitors and tourists to our community, and WHEREAS these museums, galleries, and heritage sites are valuable resources for education and learning, are important community hubs, and support our work for diversity and inclusion, NOW THEREFORE: I, Mayor Doug Leroux, do hereby proclaim May 2020 as “May is Museum Month” in Penetanguishene, and encourage all residents and tourists to support our local museums and heritage sites.

THAT the following minutes of Council meetings be confirmed and adopted as circulated: Council - April 22, 2020 Committee of the Whole - April 22, 2020 Special Council - April 29, 2020

THAT the report FIN-2020-10 regarding a $10,000 one-time funding request from the North Simcoe Family Health Team for a Virtual Physician Pilot Program be received; AND THAT Option #2 to fund the request using non-taxation funds from the Town’s Community Development Fund Reserve be approved.

THAT the recommendations contained within Committee of the Whole Report related to the Planning and Development Services Section be approved.

THAT the recommendations contained within Committee of the Whole Report related to the Transportation and Environmental Services Section be approved.

THAT the recommendations contained within Committee of the Whole Report related to the Finance and Corporate Services Section be approved.

THAT confirmation by-law 2020-24, be signed and sealed by the Mayor and Clerk.
