Special Council/Human Resource Committee Meeting

THAT the Council of the Town of Penetanguishene accepts the addition of one (1) full time wastewater treatment operator position within the Wastewater Division for the 2015 Operating Budget and be included in the 2015 draft operating budget.

THAT motions for items iii) iv ) vi) vii) viii) be approved and included in the 2015 Draft Budget.

THAT the Council of the Town of Penetanguish ene accepts the budget reserve in the amount of $46,000 for the Director of Planning & Development and related department restructuring for the Community Development Department and be included in the 2015 draft operating budget.

THAT the Human Resources Committe e meeting take a recess at 7:00 p.m. to reconvene at the conclusion of the Special Council - Budget meeting.

THAT the previous motion of approval of items iii) vi ) vii) and vii) be approved and included in the 2015 Draft Budget deliberation be rescinded.

THAT the Council of the Town of Penetanguishene accepts the budget increase contained in the report and be included in the 2015 draft operating budget for an Administrative Support Staff for the Fire and Emergency Services Department.

THAT the Council of the Town of Penetanguishene accepts the addition of an IT Support Person/GIS Technician within the Public Works Administration, Water & Wastewater Operating Budgets be included in the 2015 draft operating budget.

THAT Council authorize entering into an Information Technology Service Agreement for a 3 year period with Compu -SOLVE Technologies Inc., at a cost of $35,000/year plus HST; AND THAT the cost of the Agreement b e included in the 2015 budget; AND FINALLY THAT the Deputy Clerk prepare the necessary By-law with the final Service Agreement attached as Schedule “A”, for Council approval.

THAT the Council of the Town of Penetanguishene accept the budget increase contained in this report for the Seasonal By-Law Enforcement Officer be included in the 2015 draft operating budget.

THAT the Recreation and Community Services Section supports the pay level increase for the Harbour Master position be moved to Level D Step 3; AND THAT the wage increase be considered in the 2015 budgeting process at a total operating increase of $4,493.

THAT in accordance with the Town of Penetanguishene Procedural By-law 2014-10, the Council of the Town of Penetanguishene move into an in-camera session to discuss: - personal matters abou t an identifiable individual, including municipal or local board employees. - labour relations or employee negotiations.

THAT the Council of the Town of Penetanguishene rise from in-camera session with a report.

THAT the Council of the Town of Penetanguishene approve the contract extension to the agreement for the provision of CAO/Town Clerk services until January 29, 2016.
