Special Council Meeting

WHEREAS Midland has requested that Penetanguishene supply Midland with Fire Chief Services, suitable to meet municipal responsibilities required by the Fire Protection and Prevention Act (FPPA); AND WHEREAS Subsection 2 (6) of the Fire Protection and Prevention Act, 1997, S.O. 1997, Chapter 4, as amended (“FPPA”), authorizes a municipality to enter into agreements with other municipalities to provide and/or receive fire protection services; AND WHEREAS Council is desirous of providing Fire Chief Services to the Town of Midland; AND WHEREAS the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Penetanguishene therefore deems it advisable to enter into an agreement with the Town of Midland, for the provision of Fire Chief Services, attached hereto; NOW THEREFORE The Council of the Corporation of the Town of Penetanguishene hereby approves and authorizes the entering into of the said agreement with the Town of Midland to provide Fire Chief services to the Town of Midland, and that the related authorizing By-Law be presented to Council for approval.

THAT by-law 2015-45, being a By-law to Authorize the Entering into an Agreement with the Town of Midland for the Provision of Fire Chief Services to the Town of Midland be read a first time and deemed to be read a second and third time and
