THAT the agenda of the Special Council meeting of February 13, 2024, be approved as presented.

THAT Council approves the entering into the Memorandum of Understanding related to terms of the agreement between the five member municipalities of the Southern Georgian Bay O.P.P. Detachment Board regarding the selection and appointment of one member of Council and one Community Representative to the Southern Georgian Bay O.P.P. Detachment Board in accordance with the Community Safety and Policing Act, 2019 as presented; AND THAT as per the Community Safety and Policing Act 2019 implementing a Southern Georgian Bay OPP Detachment Board the current term of the appointment of Mayor Doug Rawson, Councillor George Vadeboncoeur and Brian Cummings on the Penetanguishene Police Services Board be deemed complete and fulfilled with the end of term being March 31, 2024. AND FINALLY THAT the Chief Administrative Officer be given delegated authority to proceed with all necessary steps to complete the transition from the Penetanguishene Police Services Board to the Southern Georgian Bay O.P.P. Detachment Board.
